Mrs Morgan was employed by my firm from October 2001 to up to the date of my retirement (March 2010). During my years in practice I employed many tens of staff, including several qualified accountants. Amongst all these staff, Gillian Morgan was outstanding. Her main work was the preparation of final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, which she carried out with exceptional speed, accuracy and excellent presentation. She was able to grasp immediately all complex issues inclding all aspects of IT and computerised payroll, expressed herself clearly and concisely and was superb in dealing with clients.

There were many changes in legislation and procedures during her period with my firm, such as online filing of tax returns, Proceeds of Crime Act, annual tax budgets etc. Gillian's analytical capacity for understanding and implementing these changes was also exceptional.

She always deputised for me during my holiday breaks and was totally responsible, reliable, honest and hard working, again exceptional for her relatively young age. Her attendance record was also excellent, with scarcely any lost time through sickness.
